Risky life!

The other day, I had a conversation with an acquaintance of mine. At some point, he asked me what the riskiest thing I've ever done in my life was. The truth is, I paused for a moment, and my entire life flashed before my eyes. It was then that I realized the truth!

I told him that the riskiest thing in my life was making decisions without turning to God.

God is a spirit (John 4:24) and is love (1 John 4:16), always present in our lives.

Isaiah 57:15

[eng] For this is what the high and exalted One says—he who lives forever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.

Isaiah 40:12-13

Τίς ἐμέτρησε τῇ χειρὶ τὸ ὕδωρ καὶ τὸν οὐρανὸν σπιθαμῇ καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν δρακί; τίς ἔστησε τὰ ὄρη σταθμῷ καὶ τὰς νάπας ζυγῷ;

τίς ἔγνω νοῦν Κυρίου, καὶ τίς αὐτοῦ σύμβουλος ἐγένετο, ὃς συμβιβᾷ αὐτόν;

[eng] 12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance?

13 Who can fathom the Spirit of the Lord, or instruct the Lord as his counselor?

Why would someone who loves us with such selfless love not want us to be happy? Why wouldn't they want to help us make our dreams a reality?

Colossians 4:2-6

[eng] 2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. 3 And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. 4 Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.

5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.

6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Surrendering to this form of love is the true freedom we can experience in our lives.

The question is... do we believe in this love?

1 Corinthians 13:8

Love never fails...
