When thoughts torment our minds!

Our minds are a wonderful gift and an exceptional tool of cognitive abilities, including consciousness, perception, thoughts, judgment, and memory!

However, what happens when this wonderful power is inundated with negative thoughts that confuse our minds? The good news is that fortunately for us, our thoughts are one of the few things in our lives that we can control. They fuel our emotions, making it easy to become disappointed at times. But they also give us the choice to change our lives and be reborn!

Our thoughts influence our consciousness (awareness), the ability to remain conscious. The mindset of our thoughts is the most significant factor in the evolution of events and situations in our lives. Therefore, our thoughts need to be careful!

2 Corinthians 10:3-4

[eng] For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

Negative thoughts easily flood our minds, but to have positive thoughts usually requires effort and struggle!

1 Timothy 6:12

[eng] Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

So, we find ourselves in a battle, and armed with this knowledge, we can fight for the thoughts that flood our minds. Because these thoughts affect our emotions, and it is our emotions that attract situations and create the reality in which we choose to live. This is a struggle that needs to be fought daily…

1 Peter 5:10

[eng] And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

Therefore, in our effort to maintain positive thoughts, it is wise to understand the importance of having a consistent personal connection with God. "God is love" (1 John 4:16), and by filtering our thoughts through love, we can understand if the thoughts tormenting us are God-sent!

-"I feel that I'm not good enough, I feel inadequate... that I'm not offering what I should!" Filtering through love: What makes you think that you're not doing the best you can for the situation you're in?"

The battle we fight first takes place in an invisible dimension and then in a dimension visible to the eyes. Therefore, patience is an ally in this struggle, and faith that there is a greater plan for our lives is a divine promise!

Philippians 1:6

[eng] being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
